About Us
Transition SalonTM
was formerly Genson’s
Hair Fashions and had been in business for over 40 years.
The building, as it stands today, is a Livonia landmark.
In the mid 70's an addition was added to the back of the building which became Maggies of Livonia, a dress shop for upscale fashions. The
shop was in operation for about 3 years and was forced to
close upon Maggies death.
The shop was leased to us, Marilyn and Dale Stanley, 21
years ago. We converted the building for our business. We
then purchased all of the property, including the salon in
February of 2002.
In January 2005, we started major renovations in the Salon.
With the support of Commercial Salon Designers we are
pleased with the end result. The Salon is an attractive new
Unisex Salon with the comfort of our clients and Stylists in
mind.
